Get Started with TikTok Ads Manager

Tiktok has an Ads Manager where you can create, run and manage the ads. You need to create an account and click the Campaign button. TikTok offers seven ad objectives categorized into three groups. 

1. Awareness: Reach

2. Consideration: Traffic, App Installs, Video Views, Lead Generation

3. Conversions: Catalog Sales, Conversions 

Depending on your objective, you can choose any of these options. For example, if you choose Traffic, TikTok will run your ad to generate more traffic on the specific URL. You can add your website or online store’s URL to generate more sales and revenue. 

Set a Campaign Budget

Setting a budget is essential to track and boost your RoI (return on investment), and you can either set a budget for the whole campaign or specific ad groups. If you’re creating ads for Conversions and App Installs objective, TikTok offers campaign budget optimization with the lowest cost bidding strategy. You will need at least $50 per day for campaigns and $20 per day for each ad group. 

If you don’t want to set a budget for the campaign, you can select No Limit and set the ad group budget later. 

Select Placements

You can add one to 999 ad groups in each campaign. So it’s best to name every ad group to stay organized. Once you’ve created your ad group, you need to choose different placements to make it available in your desired locations. 

For example, TikTok placement will display the ad in the For You feed, and Pangle placement will be in the TikTok audience network. 

Select Your Target Audience

TikTok lets you show your ads to your target audience based on their interests, behaviors, language, device details, and other demographics. This option allows you to create content according to your customers and have maximum chances of engagement from them. 

Set Ad Group Budget 

Once you’ve selected your placements and target audience, you will be asked to specify a budget for your ad group. You can choose a daily or lifetime budget and schedule the ads by choosing start and end times. There’s an option for Dayparting where you can run your ad for specific times. For example, if your target audience is most active during the evening, you can choose to show the ad during those specific hours and save money. 

Start Creating Your Ads

You can create up to 20 ads in each group and name each one of them for your ease. Each ad has a runtime of up to 60 seconds. However, TikTok suggests that ads under 15 seconds perform the best. There are many creative tools on TikTok like Branded Effects and Spark Ads that allow businesses to create ads uniquely for maximum engagement and eventually earn more revenue.
